The 24th Annual Oyster Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 13 and 14 at the Theodore Roosevelt Park, on the waterfront in Oyster Bay and in the hamlet on Audrey Avenue, "Main Street USA" from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no entrance fee.

On Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 the Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto signed a Memorandum of Understanding between itself and the Theodore Roosevelt Association to create a TR Presidential Museum and Research Center in Oyster Bay. It was an historic moment for Oyster Bay.

Once again this year the "kickoff" event for the Oyster Festival will be the Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor's 5 Kilometer Run held on Saturday, Oct. 13. The run is organized by Greater Long Island Running Club.
