Jason Shoemaker called to correctly identify the April 26 mystery picture as, "The stop sign on Glen Cove Road, facing Mill River Road."
The interesting photograph was taken by Gregory Druhak.
Billy Minicozzi guessed, "It is the stop sign on Beaver Dam Road, by a brick wall, near the Mill Neck School for the Deaf." On a sports note he said, "Good luck to the Jets and Giants in their NFL games. Hopefully the Miami Heat will win the NBA championship."
Beatrice Cardinale of Locust Valley said, "The sign is on the road when you are coming from Locust Valley and make the turn left into Oyster Bay on Mill River Road. That is where the sign is. I was right in that area yesterday (Wednesday)."
We received an email from Rich Reynolds of Niskayuna, NY, who wrote: "This looks like the intersection of Glen Cove Road and Mill River Road in Oyster Bay, facing Mill River Road. If you were to take a left, you would intersect with Lexington Avenue. Am I right?" He added, "Spring has finally sprung in upstate New York. The snow is long gone and the lawns are greening up."
"I'll take a wild guess - the intersection of Mill River Road, and Glen Cove Road," said Leven Ashby in an email.
"It's Mill River Road and Oyster Bay Road. It's the stop sign," said Richard Oakes, of Bayville, adding, "We survived the rain last week."
