We have to apologize for last week's mystery picture (March 1). When we tell you where it was taken you will say "Of course" and then say, "it's not taken in Oyster Bay." We will then agree, saying, "Yes," but so many local groups have held events there over the years - it seemed as if it was worth the try.

Last Week’s Picture

We will therefore share the locale with you. It is the entrance to the Swan Club and the picture was taken by Don Mahanna, a former Oyster Bay resident, as the American Legion members and guests entered the restaurant/catering hall for their holiday dinner. We've been there with the Rotary Club of Oyster Bay and many Oyster Bay High School senior proms have been held there.
We're sure now that you know the answer you too are saying, "Of course! I knew that!"

Loyal Mystery Picture responder Billy Minicozzi gave a good guess saying it might be an estate on Centre Island.
This week's mystery picture should be much easier to solve. -DFK
