Oyster Bay Hamlet Eastern Waterfront Revitalization Study Group Is Forming
The Town of Oyster Bay is moving forward with the development of a "Vision Plan" for the eastern waterfront in Oyster Bay hamlet, according to Town Supervisor John Venditto. However, the town has decided it will not include Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in the study although the initial designation of the area to be covered in the eastern waterfront study said that the area began where the Western Waterfront ended, at the beginning of TR Park.

OB-EN Looks at NYS Assessments
An article appeared in Newsday last week identifying the high school in Oyster Bay as a "School in Need of Improvement," according to the NYS Department of Education. Oyster Bay-East Norwich School Board President James Robinson explained why saying, "While the district is on the list this year, it is not because of any failure for the second year in a row, it is based solely on the fact that the district was on the list for the 2004-2005 school year and any district on the list has to show two successive years of improvement to get off the list."

Residents Welcome to Sign Up to Be a TOB Lifeguard
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced that the town is currently seeking individuals interested in working as a pool or beach lifeguard for the 2007 summer season.

North Shore Athletes Invited to Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run
Runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes of all ages and levels of ability from the Oyster Bay, East Norwich, Locust Valley, Bayville, Mill Neck and surrounding communities are invited to test their training and endurance levels by being a part of the 10th annual Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run. The run will take place on Saturday, March 10, starting at 9:15 a.m. at the W.T. Rogers Middle School on Old Dock Road in Kings Park.
