How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Raynham Hall Museum, 20 East Main St., Oyster Bay.

The "Phantom" mystery caller is back! He correctly identified the photograph in the Dec. 15 issue of the Oyster Bay Enterprise Pilot. "It's Coe Hall. How did I know - I was just up there two weeks ago at a concert; on Dec. 10 there was a flute and guitar concert. I've been away for a long time but will be in my red kayak again this spring and summer." The phantom mystery caller has been enjoying Planting Fields events. On Dec. 13 he was at the champagne reception in the main greenhouse. A three-piece jazz ensemble was playing. Planting Fields has been a big part of the phantom's life since he attended three FOTA jazz concerts in August. He had a lot to share. "FOTA is a great group, and the concerts were the start of a perfect romance," he added.

He plans to attend their concerts on Jan. 14 and Feb. 11. He is also planning to be at the March and May events at Trés Cabaret at Café Doubleday. "If you see a tall platinum blonde and someone with a gray beard - that's the phantom. I won't be carrying the red kayak," he added.

The mystery picture was sent by Debrah Breen of Planting Fields. The picture is of Luciene Salomone, recently elected to the Planting Fields Foundation Board of Trustees. She was draping a garland from the gallery for their Deck the Halls party. It was to raise money to benefit educational programs organized by the Planting Fields Foundation. How fitting that the phantom has been supporting and enjoying events at Planting Fields.

Billy Minicozzi also called about the mystery picture and made some good guesses. He had a great deal to say about sports including that the New Jersey Nets who used to be called the New York Nets may be returning to the Big City. They are looking to move to Brooklyn to a new stadium to be built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

We also received an email from Rich Reynolds of Niskayuna, NY. He said, "It looks like a volunteer helping to decorate the interior of Coe Hall? Am I right?" He is of course! It's nice to be able to read your paper online. Merry Christmas to all at the Oyster Bay Enterprise-Pilot!"

That merry wish goes right back at you Rich! And of course, you are correct in identifying the photo. That deer head has been photographed many times and it a great icon at Coe Hall Mansion.

And Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our online readers - and print readers - wherever you are.
