The Rough Rider third grade boys' team got off to an early lead against Manhasset and never looked back. With goals from Logan Danenza, Ryan Reynolds and Max Greenspan, the Riders went on to a 9 to 4 victory. Manhasset was constantly on the defensive with solid play by Robert Howes, Anthony Naranjo, Vinnie DeMartino, Sean Cronin, Dan Cutler and Ryan Santos. Bryan Gallagher all but shut down the Manhasset offense in the second half with his consistent goal tending.
The Rough Rider fourth grade team made a valiant effort against Baldwin with two goals each by Jack Sherbal and Nicholas Orlowski. Tyler Reynolds' addition of a fifth goal was not enough to overcome Baldwin. The defense was solid and there was great teamwork with assists by both Tyler Reynolds and Ryan Hauser yet the Riders were defeated 7 to 5.
The Rough Rider fifth/sixth combined went on to rout Hewlett 11 to 3 with Liam Blohm and Sean Cerrone each having a hat trick. Goals were also scored by Matthew DiConza, Stephen Ferrandino and Zach Greenspan. The defense, led by Kyle McLaughlin, James Lo Russo, Brian Kowalcyck and Mike Ruane, along with goalie Chre Teitlebaum, all but shut down the Hewlett offense. Solid offense by Austin Weber, Gregory Galligan, Ryan Curran and Mikey Schuler kept most of the action down at the Hewlett end of the field.
