The Interreligious & Human Needs Council (IHNC) is holding its annual toy drive and is asking your help to sustain one of its finest traditions. Each year, the IHNC tries to ensure that every needy family, living in the Oyster Bay-East Norwich community, has a happier holiday season. With your generous support, the IHNC has been able to provide gifts for children who have been identified as children "in-need."
Carol and Randy Daub are again in charge of the toy drive.
They said cash donations are greatly appreciated, and will be used toward the purchase of toys, books, electronics, athletic equipment, etc. (purchased in bulk) for the toy drive. In addition, any unused money will be set aside to provide assistance to local youth who may have an emergency need during the year.
This year they are gearing up to provide gift packages for approximately 250 children (newborn to age 14). With your generous support, this important program will again be a success.
Please send your donation to: IHNC Toy Drive; P.O. Box 4; East Norwich, NY 11732.
The annual toy drive assembly will take place at the First Presbyterian Church at 60 East Main Street education building/parish hall. If you would like to bring in a toy donation in person, they will be there accepting the gifts on Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. All toy donations must be new and unwrapped, please. For additional information please call Carol and Randy Daub at 922-2054.
Helping others is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. It's the gift that gives back!
