The second place foursome included Vinnie Testaverde, Brian Galligan, William DiConza and Michael DiConza.
The St. Dominic 15th Annual Golf Outing was held on Oct. 5 at the Tam O'Shanter Club with sunshine overhead. The day began with a full buffet breakfast and then the golfers went off to the driving range and putting green to warm up. They had a noon shot gun start. The golfers were offered mulligans at $5 each and they had the opportunity to participate in the Chicago String Game for $40 per foursome, this helps take off strokes when putting your final shot.
A barbecue lunch was served on the course while the golfers were challenged to win a Mercedes on hole #7 for a hole in one. Also at this hole Coach O'Brien challenged each golfer to get on the green and inside her shot. Only 10 golfers were able to beat her and shall remain nameless.
The golfers also had the opportunity to do a little gambling on hole #2. All they had to do was to get within a 10 foot radius of the flag on the green and they would receive 3x their bet.
The day of golf ended with cocktails and a wonderful buffet dinner. Raffle tickets were available and a sports memorabilia auction was set up for bidding. Trophies and raffles were awarded during coffee and dessert time. An alumna and current high school parent, Pat Madden '77 won the 50/50 raffle receiving $1500.
