Tom Hogan, Esq. called to say of the mystery photograph in the Oct. 26 issue, "It's lovely downtown Locust Valley." The former Town of Oyster Bay Councilman is correct! We have been amazed at all the activity there. They seem to have something going on almost every weekend to get residents out to enjoy Locust Valley between the efforts of the Locust Valley Chamber of Commerce or the Locust Valley Rotary Club!

Bob Kramer said simply - correctly - succinctly: "It's Birch Hill Road in Locust Valley."

Macy Yu said, "It's taken on Birch Hill Road in Locust Valley. It is taken from the Locust Valley train station of the beautiful village with lots of shops."

Belle Santora said, "It's near where Caminari's used to be and near the railroad crossing. You come from Oyster Bay and go up the hill and turn left to the Locust Valley Railroad Station or right onto Birch Hill Road."

George Albro said the picture was taken from the railroad tracks, looking into the village of Locust Valley.

Billy Minicozzi said, "The mystery photo is of antique shops and old fashioned stores and a dress shop in Locust Valley, near Forest Avenue." On a sports note, he is hoping the Cardinals win the pennant.

The photo was taken from the train, on the way to the Oyster Festival.
