Oyster Festival: A Smooth Ride
Tom Reardon, co-chair of Oyster Festival 2006 said, "Overall, everything went very well. There was a great petting zoo with giraffes and camels. On Saturday morning a goat got away and was romping through the food court. Someone grabbed him and brought him back."

At the dock during the Oyster Festival, and fairly tall in her own right, she was overshadowed by a much larger and more curvaceously gilded rival (the Kalmar Nyckel). Those willing to take the time, however, would have found that the sly vamp in black watching from the side had an interesting and unfinished story to tell.

Sagamore Soundings
All year long there are things to do on the waterfront. There are pathways in the park for a relaxing walk with benches to rest on. When exploring the harbor by boat it is easy to be fascinated by the beautiful mansion filled shorelines on the boundaries of Lloyd Neck, Cold Spring Harbor, Oyster Bay Cove, and Centre Island. We also have the town managed mooring grid for private vessels, which is one of the most protected anchorage areas. It is blanketed by land in every direction.

Oyster Bay Jets Fans' Score
Winthrop-University Hospital's "First and Goal Challenge" contest winners recently were invited to attend a New York Jets practice session, where they also had the opportunity to talk with the NFL players. Earlier this year, for a $100 commitment benefiting the hospital's Child Life Program and Pediatric Services, entrants crossed their fingers in hopes of winning great prizes, compliments of the New York Jets.
