Six Local Anglers Win Bluefish Tournament
The 21st annual Town of Oyster Bay Bluefish Tournament, held on Sunday, Sept. 17, was a great opportunity for local fisherman to shine. Ten of the 15 biggest fish caught were by anglers from the Town of Oyster Bay. The biggest fish was caught by John Fierderlein of Bayville. There were five winners from Bayville, one from Oyster Bay - our local area.
There are only a few more weeks left of great boating weather.
Oyster Bay East Norwich Soccer Club News
On Saturday, Sept. 16, our fall intramural season started. The fields started filling at 9 a.m. and the action lasted until after 4 p.m. It was a fantastic fall day to start the season. Over 600 children, from 4-year-olds getting their first taste of the game to high school girls and boys showing their advanced skills, marched onto to the fields. The children were joined by swarms of parents and fans who cheered them on. Many children from our intramural teams will be playing in the Columbus Day tournaments. This is a great opportunity for our teams to play in a competitive setting against teams throughout Long Island. Currently, we have competitive tournament teams for boys and girls in second and third grade.
