Jeffrey Maimone Takes Part in Annual Swim-A-Cross on August 11 -- Once again, Jeffrey Maimone of Bayville will be keeping up a family tradition - swimming in the annual Red Cross Swim-a-Cross on Friday, Aug. 11. For the past 15 years, Jeff swam with his mother, Renata Maimone, who died two years ago at the age of 87. Last year Jeffrey swam solo, but with the memory of his mother with him. During early summer mornings, one will find the Crew Club of Oyster Bay, Sagamore Rowing Association's scholastic program, practicing as a team in preparation for the US Rowing National Championship Regatta.
