Keeping Up With a Family Tradition
Jeffrey Maimone Takes Part in Annual Swim-A-Cross on August 11 --
Once again, Jeffrey Maimone of Bayville will be keeping up a family tradition - swimming in the annual Red Cross Swim-a-Cross on Friday, Aug. 11. For the past 15 years, Jeff swam with his mother, Renata Maimone, who died two years ago at the age of 87. Last year Jeffrey swam solo, but with the memory of his mother with him. Renata was the delight of the Red Cross as she inspired many people to join in the swim.

Sagamore Soundings
We Feel the Bay More Than We See It --
Throughout the year, rowers of all ages gather at the Sagamore Rowing Association's boathouse to train for competitions and row recreationally. During early summer mornings, one will find the Crew Club of Oyster Bay, Sagamore Rowing Association's scholastic program, practicing as a team in preparation for the US Rowing National Championship Regatta. As members of that team, we are privy to the special beauty of Oyster Bay early in the morning.

This summer Sagamore Rowing Association's junior rowing program, The Crew Club of Oyster Bay (ages 13 to 18), competed in the US Rowing National Championship Regatta held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
