CCH Marches at Immigration Rally
About 60 people from the Centro Cultural Hispano of Oyster Bay- East Norwich and Vecinidades, Ltd. (CCH), loaded into a bus and several cars to join the Immigration Rally held on Sunday, April 9 in front of Congressman Peter King's office in Massapequa. The Immigration Rally was organized by the Long Island Immigrant Alliance. The group was protesting Congressman King's co-sponsoring of a bill that proposes to criminalize undocumented immigrants.

OB RR Museum Is Making Tracks
The Friends of Locomotive #35 Inc. took one of the first steps toward the creation of the display area, that will house its equipment, on Saturday, Feb. 25. While in the grand scheme of things, building railroad track may not seem like much, but it sets the stage for what will come. It was a tremendous undertaking and exciting and rather enjoyable day in spite of the cold weather and hard work.

Maxine Jann Finishes in Top 50
Twelve-year-old East Norwich resident, Maxine Jann, returns this past weekend from competing at the USGA Women's Gymnastics New York State Championships in Buffalo New York, placing 20th in the State in Level 7 in her division, despite a nagging wrist injury. Last year Jann placed in the top 100 of her division.
