Billy Minicozzi and Danielle Agostinello Know Oyster Bay

Billy Minicozzi called to identify the mystery picture from Dec. 29. He said, "It's West Shore that goes along Oyster Bay Harbor to Centre Island."

On a sports note he said the Rangers beat the Islanders again. The Islanders won the first two games of the season and the Rangers won the next two. It looks like a good season to watch.

Danielle Agostinello said, "The mystery picture is Beekman Beach. It's where me and my grandparents spend time kayaking."

The Ying and Yang of Change

Last week's short deadlines had us leaving out some mystery picture answers. Toni Kabelka called and identified the mystery photo as Buckingham Variety. "I used to work there when I was in high school. I miss the old staff and the old owner, Mr. M. and Tina and Mary. It's just not the same store any more. Buckingham's is one of the great stores of Oyster Bay. I hope they don't change it too much."

Viviene Emmi called and said, "I recognized the picture of Buckingham's Palace. I was very happy to walk in and see Claire [Bellerjeau formerly of Pleasant Valley Gallery & Gifts] in charge."
