This year's holiday celebration at the Derby-Hall bandstand was the best. We left with the feeling that it was the best ever, and we've seen a great many of them.

This year there was no artifice. It was just the basics. There were the children, the reading of The Night Before Christmas, Santa Claus, the lighting of the Christmas tree, carol singing with a few dignitaries sprinkled in for seasoning and there you are, the makings of a wonderful event.
