Vision LI to Identify United Voice for the Hamlet
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto has engaged the services of Ron Stein and Eric Alexander of Vision Long Island to work with the Oyster Bay hamlet community to find their "voice." With so many organizations speaking for the community there is no "one voice" or "one will" to direct the town, said Mr. Venditto to residents asking who they can go to in the town to get things done to improve the hamlet. He said, "It's your will that has to be expressed." He said, when that "voice" is heard the town will be ready to work with the community on future projects. He made the announcement at the Main Street Association annual meeting held on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center.

The New Nobman's Is Coming - Soon
Architect Eduardo Lacroze gave a presentation on what is happening/or not happening at the Nobman's Hardware Emporium site on the corner of South Street and East Main Street in Oyster Bay. He made a presentation at the MSA annual meeting on Nov. 15 at the Doubleday Babcock Senior Center. He said, "We are looking backwards to the past and keeping an eye on the future for the design." He said MSA is helping them with the mixed-use proposal.

Bahnik Youth Center President's Cup Golf Tournament
The President's Cup Golf Tournament supports the children's programs at the Bahnik Youth Center, the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich. The event, held on Oct. 3 at the Nassau Country Club, combined fun and service as foursomes from around the area joined by business friends and corporations took part in the annual fundraiser. This year again, the Hole-in-One prize held out the promise of a 2006 Mercedes R350.

Sagamore Soundings
The recreational boating season is coming to a close on Dec. 1 in Oyster Bay Harbor. This gives many boaters a respite to focus on projects at home or work and not feel anxious that they are not out on the water on a nice day. At Sagamore Yacht Club many of the members also channel their anxiety through the organization's Winter Skeet Club.
