In this caring community of Oyster Bay-East Norwich, plans for the holiday season include programs to help less fortunate families, senior citizens and disabled individuals. Without this thoughtful generosity, many people could not have a holiday meal; a tradition most of us take for granted. The "Community Social Action Committee" works closely with local churches, local schools and the Youth & Family Counseling Agency to identify those in need of food certificates for Thanksgiving and for the Holiday Season.

Due to the hurricane sisters, Katrina and Rita, we appreciate that you are probably tired of being asked for money. However, we hope that you can find it in your heart to remember that those closest to home, in our own community, need our help as well. Your donation will be used for the purchase of food certificates needed for this two-part Holiday Sharing Program. In 2004, more than 130 local families and more than 100 individuals were given assistance as a result of your generosity. God Bless You All!
