The Oct. 6 mystery picture (last week's photo) remains a mystery! But the Sept. 29 picture has been identified.
There was a glitch in last week's newspaper and the mystery picture answer did not appear. Our apologies go to all the mystery picture fans.
It was Pierre Brandt who called first to identify the Sept. 29 photograph as "The Coe Hall at Planting Fields Arboretum." The photograph was taken by Robert Fitzpatrick of East Norwich.
Billy Minicozzi said, "The mystery picture is a big house in Upper Brookville or Oyster Bay Cove and was pleased to say that Vinnie Testaverde was going to play with the jets as a back up for Chad Pennington. "Fall is finally here," he said.
David Barclay, a former resident of Oyster Bay, now living in Colorado asked via e-mail, "Is that Planting Fields Arboretum?" The answer is yes, that it is the famous Coe mansion.
Jack Schiech also recognized the photo and said he had attended many concerts held there. The music room of the Coe mansion is all wood paneled and it makes the room perfect for concerts.
