The Oyster Bay Power Squadron will offer Boat Smart, a basic safe boating course. Classes began on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (for 4 sessions) at the Waterfront Center in Oyster Bay.
This course is for beginners and experienced boaters alike. Successful completion of this informative course may entitle you to valuable insurance discounts and a Safe Boating Certificate recognized by New York State for the operation of your Personal Water Craft. Furthermore, after completing Boat Smart you could be eligible to become a member of the Power Squadron, enabling you to take advantage of our full education program. The Oyster Bay Squadron has provided a safe boating program for over 30 years to the residents of Bayville, Brookville, East Norwich, Hicksville, Jericho, Laurel Hollow, Oyster Bay, Oyster Bay Cove, Plainview and Syosset.
