Pierre Brandt called and aced both mystery pictures. He said, "The one this week (Aug. 18 issue) is the fence on the road leading to the Western WaterFront Center. Last week the picture (Aug. 11) was of the parking lot on Beekman Beach, I recognized the trees!"
Betty Tiska said, "I assumed that you would have a flood of answers on that one. The picture of Aug. 11 was taken at the Beekman Beach parking lot and the tent pictured had been set up for the WaterFront Center BayDay Lobster/Clambake on Saturday, June 4th."
The Phantom mystery answer-er said, "The "tent" picture appears to be taken at the Beekman Beach parking lot. The "bench" picture appears to be taken at the WaterFront Center."
Tanya Walker called and said, "Last week's picture is a tent set up on Bay Day at Beekman Beach and this week's is taken at the waterfront at one of the old-time buildings [at the former Jakobson Shipyard]."
Billy Minicozzi said, "The mystery picture is a park bench with a ship in the background. It was taken at the Bayville boatyard, just over the bridge." (That was a good guess.)
Michael Pilla said, "The picture was taken at the old shipyard. You can see the metal sheds. And last week's picture was taken at Beekman Beach."
You have all done excellent-well in identifying the photographs!
The picture last week, Aug. 18 was taken by this photographer as she sat after Bay Day.
