Lori V. Blanche-Vieweg died on August 13, 2005 after an eight-month battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Born April 11, 1973, in Sioux City, IA, she grew up in Colorado, but most recently lived in Phoenix, AZ and Oyster Bay. She worked for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Phoenix Coyotes, in 2002 she moved to Oyster Bay, where she fell in love with Thomas Vieweg, Jr. In September 2003, they had a beautiful baby, which became Lori's pride and joy. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's in December 2004. Her love for life stood strong until the end, and she always made our hearts brighter. Her family and friends from all over the country will always remember her. Surviving are her daughter, Taylor Ashley Vieweg, Thomas J. Vieweg Jr., her father and mother Richard and Pamela Blanche, her brother Todd W. Blanche, her sister Cheryl J. Hobbs, her grandparents, Richard and Virginia Bigelow, and her extended family, Kristine, Sydney, and Justin Blanche, John, Nicholas, and Tyler Hobbs, and Thomas, Regina, Bevin, and Jackie Vieweg. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Service at the Shelter Rock Church. Interment Nassau Knolls Cemetery. Andrew L. "Doc" Watson, of Locust Valley, died on Aug. 14, 2005. He worked for LILCO for 41 years, was very active with the local Boy Scouts, VFW, American Legion and Marine Corps League. Husband of Mary. Brother of the late Albert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
