It is most unfortunate that some community members have chosen to once again impart information that is erroneous and, as a result, harmful to our school district. Attempting to counter the inaccurate statements and misrepresentations contained in letters printed in the local papers seems futile.

Therefore, I implore the intelligent, caring and concerned residents who are the silent majority in Oyster Bay to come to our public meetings on a regular basis. There you will witness, firsthand, the detail and accuracy of the work of the school board.

We are here to serve our students, and no one, or their harmful tactics, will prevent us from doing that.
