How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Raynham Hall Museum, 20 East Main St., Oyster Bay.

Billy Minicozzi recognized the photograph in the July 14 issue as people in "canoes" near West Shore Rd in Oyster Bay. Actually they are in kayaks at Beekman Beach, which is off West Shore Road.
On a sports note, Billy said, "I hope the Mets and Yankees do well with the baseball season!"
Fritz Coudert called to correct the answer in the July 14 issue about the benches photographed in Bayville near the bridge. He explained the view was not of Centre Island but rather looking in the direction of Upper Brookville. He said if we were looking in the direction of Centre Island we would see a beach on the left side of the picture.
We also received a call from Maureen Albro of Bayville who called to correct the spelling of her husband George's name in last week's mystery picture column and to say the identification we gave was incorrect.
Linda Shannon called about the picture in the June 30 issue was of Young people in the North Shore Community Church sailing in their "Wacky Racer" on Bay Day. She is absolutely right, of course. We and she agreed the picture would make a great advertisement for next year's Bay Day events.
