Walking In His Friend's Shoes
Mike Crowley was surrounded by friends, family, firefighters, and members of the press in front of the Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1's building, as he began his Mission Montauk Point - a Walk for the Ceglias. Mr. Crowley's friend since third grade, Cpl. James Ceglia is serving with the New York based US Army National Guard - Fighting 69th, fighting the war on terror in Iraq.

EPF Grant for Eastern Waterfront Plan
With the redevelopment of the Western Waterfront in Oyster Bay hamlet well under way, the Town of Oyster Bay has received a grant to fund an Eastern Waterfront Revitalization Study, the "Eastern Waterfront Community Visioning & Revitalization Plan."

OB-EN Soccer Club Kicks Off Their 2005 Spring Season
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich spring soccer season is under way for our ten travel teams. Since the fall season ended, most teams participated in indoor soccer leagues during the winter. Other teams competed in various indoor tournaments throughout Long Island. The following are our travel teams representing our town throughout Long Island and New York State:

Jonathan Shoemaker Gets Achievement Award
The Nassau County Sports Commission's (NCSC) Annual Awards Dinner held Monday, April 11, honored local high school athlete Jonathan Shoemaker of Oyster Bay High School with the Outstanding High School Achievement Award. The dinner, held at the Chateau Briand in Carle Place, honored athletes and coaches for excellence in sports, academics, sportsmanship and community service. The awards were given out on the high school, collegiate and professional levels.
