Locust Valley High School students, Mark Willenbacher and Dana Malatino, were recognized as Locust Valley's Outstanding Female and Male Student by the Nassau Zones of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYSAHPERD) at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Westbury on Wednesday, Dec. 15.

The Locust Valley physical education staff nominated both students for the award after considering all of the positive accomplishments they have achieved to date as well as the prospect of many more in their future endeavors. Award winners enjoyed an evening out as they were honored for their contributions as a student/athlete, a class leader and participant in community programs.
