Oyster Bay Civic Readies for 2005
The Oyster Bay Civic Association is preparing for the new year. The nominating committee members, Peggy Bundas, Jean Marotti and Toni Junjulas, presented their slate of officers for 2005 at the November meeting. Because there were no additional names added to the ballot, the nominating committee's choices were accepted by the secretary in one verbal vote. At the Dec. 7 executive meeting, the new officers were elected by the board.

Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club Recognizes
Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club celebrated the club's star members at the Banquet of Champions dinner at the Crescent Club in Bayville on Oct. 21. The dinner honored over 700 outstanding Club participants who excelled in all areas of interactive clubs and Club programs including education, technology, social recreation, teen programs, sports and fitness, youths of the month, youth year as well as acknowledging Club volunteers. Over 30 programs were recognized and many Club members received more than one trophy for their achievements in different Club programs.

Nassau Parade and Drill Team Captains Association News
Neil Brogan of New Hyde Park was installed for his second year as president of the Nassau County Parade and Drill Team Captains Association at the 35th Annual Installation and Award Banquet. The event took place at the North Lindenhurst Fire Department headquarters on Nov. 19.
