Holiday Sharing Program Prospers
The education building of the First Presbyterian Church was filled with activity on Tuesday, Nov. 23 as the annual Holiday Sharing Program was under way. Music was playing to the delight of the young people from Locust Valley and Oyster Bay High Schools who were packing cartons with foodstuffs for Thanksgiving dinners.

The new Yoga Studio has both a menorah and a Christmas tree in its window. Seventh-grader Brittany Barkan working with her mother Bea Barkan created it.

Oyster Bay East Norwich Soccer Club News
The Tornadoes hosted the Port Washington Blue Angels at East Woods on Saturday, Nov. 13. The game was questionable due to the early 9 a.m. game start. The field was coated with a light layer of our first snow of the year in the wooded area of East Woods. Since soccer is played in all weather conditions other than Thurdering and Lightning, the game was started by the referee and the snow melted very quickly as the Tornadoes started scoring goals. Melissa Albanese had her first hat trick of the season. Bridget Jansen, Katie O'Brien, Erin Allen and Allison Bliven followed with nice goals. The Tornadoes had total control of the game. The defensive players were superb totally shutting down any threat attempted.

St. Gertrude's CYO Christmas Tournament
Now is the time to sign up for St. Gertrude's CYO Christmas Tournament. It takes place Dec. 26 through Jan. 2 at St. Gertrude's Parish Center in Bayville. The tournament is for fifth grade boys and sixth grade boys as well as for seventh grade girls and sixth grade girls.
