Weather Smiles on St. Rocco Feast
This year the weather smiled on the annual St. Rocco Festival. Chairman Joe Barnao, who was obviously enjoying his 26th year as chair of the festival said, "Everything is going very well. We had five days of good weather, and this day as well. We will top last year's figures. We've had plenty of help. All the volunteers showed up!"

OB Civic Association News
The Oyster Bay Civic Association's next open meeting will be in September. The group is not going to hold meetings in July and August, said President Marie Knight. They will however have a board meeting this month.

Ferraro Foundation Golf Outing
Golfers can sign up for the Jennifer Ferraro Foundation benefit golf outing on Aug. 5 to be held at at Bethpage State Park. There will be celebrity golfers including several Islanders, Rangers, Devils, and from Montreal, the Blackhawks, as well as Jets and Giants who will be on the course.

James Farrell Is IGHL Golf Honoree
The Independent Group Home Living Program (IGHL) (East Moriches) has named James Farrell, an Old Brookville resident, as its Guest of Honor for its annual Pine Hollow (East Norwich) Country Club Golf Classic scheduled for Monday, Aug. 16. Tickets to the event are $375 per person, and attendance is usually restricted to 100 golfers.
