St. Dominic's: A Faith Community in Pain
Members of St. Dominic Church of Oyster Bay, concerned about falling church attendance and issues relating to the recent Suffolk County Supreme Court Special Grand Jury Report of May 6, 2002 on the sexual abuse of children by priests met on Tuesday, April 27 in an open forum. Of concern to the organizers are insights in the report on how the Diocese of Rockville Centre dealt with the alleged abuse cases.

DBSC Recognizes Its Volunteers
The annual Doubleday Babcock Senior Center Volunteer Recognition Day took place on April 22. This year the seniors themselves picked Sylvester Durrant as their Volunteer of the Year and the staff chose Catherine Messera as their Volunteer of the Year.

New York Dragons Visit OBEN Boys and Girls Club
On Tuesday, March 16, the Boys & Girls Club members were delighted to meet the New York Dragons' quarterback, Aaron Garcia, and tight-end/defensive tackle, Jermaine Miles. Sixty members had the opportunity to meet and greet the arena football superstars. Mr. Garcia and Mr. Miles spoke to the members about the importance of staying in school, healthy eating, and, of course, football. The event concluded with an autograph and picture session for the members. All in all, everyone had a great time. Go Dragons!
