Sagamore Yacht Club, proud sponsor of the Oyster Bay Wednesday night racing series, held its combined awards dinner on Nov. 15. Jack Bernstein, captain of Luff Story, receiving the SYC Racer of the Year Award from committee co-chair Barbara Ankermann.

Awards were also presented to the following division winners from the Wednesday night series: Keith Raider (Maverick), spinnaker div., Charles O'Connor (Fearless Frog), cruiser div., and Jack Bernstein (Luff Story), jib and main div.

The Wednesday night series is open to all sailors in the Oyster Bay area, and attracts in excess of 25 boats on a typical evening. Sagamore has a rich tradition of competitive club racing, and is also sponsor of the annual Friends of the Bay Challenge, a LI Sound competition.
