  • News: Oyster Fest Means Family Fun and Food

    This year's Oyster Festival is proving its reputation as being one of the top three events on the east coast. The 20th annual Oyster Festival begins on Friday, Oct. 17 with a carnival and fireworks between 6:30 and 10 p.m. The Oyster Bay Supervisor's Race starts at 9 a.m. Oct. 17. The festival opening ceremonies take place at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18. The festival hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. FULL STORY

  • News: Bayville's Ghoulish Haunted Firehouse

    The ghost and goblin volunteers of the Bayville Fire Company announce the opening of its Haunted Firehouse, now celebrating its 12th frightening year. Visitors will first arrive at Centre Island Beach, where they will be greeted and transported by bus to the Haunted Firehouse by goblins and ghosts, who will entertain them with their ghoulish antics and serve refreshments as they wait to enter. The entire firehouse will be transformed into an oasis of fright and surprises, where witches, ghosts, goblins, and other hair-raising creatures will abound. This year, there will be new and even scarier rooms of the house to visit to give visitors more fright and fun than ever. FULL STORY

  • Sports: Supervisor Venditto Announces 5K Run to Kick Off Oyster Festival

    "As most of you know, the Oyster Festival is a fantastic two-day event that attracts literally hundreds of thousands of people from all over the tri-state area to the hamlet," Venditto said. "The 5K race, which is open to men, women and child runners, as well as wheelchair athletes, is expected to attract more than 600 participants this year." FULL STORY

  • Sports: The Boys & Girls Club of OB-EN President's Cup Golf Tournament

    The annual Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich President's Cup Golf Tournament took place on Sept. 29 at the Nassau Country Club. The event funds the exciting work at the Bahnik Center at One Pine Hollow Road, for local children. It takes a great deal of community support to run the event and the list of sponsors proves they are aware of the need and committed to helping the children of Oyster Bay and East Norwich.
