Susan Lee Flynn, 50, formerly of Sea Cliff and Bayville, died in Roanoke, VA, on July 25, 2003. She was the daughter of Rachel R. Bishop (Richard F.) and the late James Flynn. Susan graduated from North Shore High School and continued her education in Roanoke majoring in marketing. She enjoyed travel, living in Colorado and RI before settling in Virginia. In recent years she engaged in athletic programs and was particularly fond of swimming. In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her daughter Melissa P. Hudson (nee Nau) and her son Justin J. Flynn Wertz, age 11. Her siblings are Dennis J. Flynn, Roberta E. Falk and Thomas E. Flynn Sr. Her stepsister, Judith B. Jones, followed Susan in death on Aug. 8. Susan is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held July 19 at Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Woodard officiating. Interment followed at Sherwood Memorial Park, Roanoke.

Anna Meyers, of Locust Valley, died on Sept. 22, 2003. Wife of the late Harry. Mother of Harry (Mary) Meyers and Robert (John) Zehtila. Sister of Elizabeth Waters. Grandmother of Mary Anne, Cammy, Susan, Janet, Mary Beth and Jeffrey. Great-grandmother of Ryan, Catherine, Madison and Antonia. Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Hyacinth Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.

Alfred D. Carbona, 83, of East Norwich, died on Sept. 25, 2003. Husband of Emi. Father of Alfred D. Carbona Jr. Brother of Adele Higgins and Eugene Carbona. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Graveside service at Holy Rood Cemetery.
