Attorneys and staff from the law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C. joined over 8,000 other runners from more than 250 companies at the Chase Corporate Challenge on July 29, at Jones Beach. The 18th annual event was attended by over 75 competitive runners and walkers and their supporters from Meyer, Suozzi, including Locust Valley resident Beth Faughnan; Jericho resident, Lynn Brown; and Glen Head residents Donnalynn Darling and Beth Murphy (pictured left to right in the attached photograph.) Ms. Murphy clocked in with the firm's fastest time ever, 26:31.
The event's primary beneficiary was the Companions for Courage Foundation (CIC), which is creating playrooms at hospitals throughout the country, enabling children and caregivers to make connections, play games, share experiences and enrich time spent in the hospital.
According to Lois Carter Schlissel, Meyer, Suozzi's managing attorney, "The Chase Corporate Challenge has been our firm's premier summertime event for many years, and includes our attorneys, staff and their families. We enjoy the thrill of the race, an evening-long party with delicious food, and the satisfaction of knowing that the Challenge supports CIC, a wonderful philanthropy."
