How Well Do You Know the Area? Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Pleasant Valley Gallery & Gifts, 101 South Street, Oyster Bay.

While last week's mystery picture (Aug. 14) remains a mystery, the picture from the week before (Aug. 7) has been identified. It is always fun to see, when people who recognize the picture but don't usually call, come to the rescue when an identification is floundering!
Helen Piovesan called and said, "The tree is on Route 25A between Route 106 and Berry Hill Road, just past Sugar Tom's Road at the bend of the road."
The Phantom caller, who lives in Syosset also identified the picture, from his vantage point, as "Route 25A between Route 107 (which the road turns into) and Split Rock Road, (which is Sugar Tom's Road on the south side of 25A)."
Jack Scheich, president of the Beautification of East Norwich Committee called with the identification of the Mystery Picture which had stumped our readers, including Billy Minicozzi, the previous week. He recognized it as the tree planted in the median of New York State Route 25A near the intersection of Sugar Tom's Road. Mr. Scheich can speak with some authority on the subject since the tree was planted by the ENCA!
Billy Minicozzi, famous for knowing Oyster Bay had a good guess, saying it was taken in the Italian American Club. He also congratulated John Veroxie, the new foreman in the Town of Oyster Bay tree department.
We still have last week's picture to identify. There is a big clue in the picture on the wall of the room, and, as another hint, we are sure the lady in the foreground was wearing a light blue coat.
