The Old Brookville Police Department has been operating out of cramped quarters for some time, and the members have been looking for a site that will be pleasing to the seven villages they serve. They have picked a site and are close to getting approval. At the July 12 village meeting, Muttontown Trustee Ed Henn, police commissioner said, "The good news is that the OBPD has found a site for its headquarters at the DeMatteis Center. It is a two-acre site owned by St. Francis Hospital which they will donate. They still need the approval of the Catholic Hospital Board and the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Community residents gathered at the basketball courts at the Roosevelt School on May 27 to honor Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District former teacher and Coach Tom Robinson, who passed away recently. "It is fitting to dedicate these courts to Tom Robinson because so many children and adults enjoyed this space, which Tom took care of as if it were his own," said Superintendent of Schools George J.
