Denis J. O'Kane, 48, of Oyster Bay, died suddenly on June 27, 2003 while vacationing with his family on Cape Cod. Denis loved life to the fullest and he was full of love. He adored his wife Trish and their five children, Brendan, Denis II, David, William and Sarah. Son of Hugh and Rosemary. Brother of Hugh (Patricia), Kevin (Margaret) and Trish (Tom) Kelly. Son-in-law of Leo and Helen Dunn. He was loved by all his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Denis will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Mildred Galasso (nee Cataliotti), 93, a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay, died on June 27, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband Louis. Mother of Celeste Roesch, Joseph Galasso (Ruth), Robert Galasso (Dorothy), the late Nina Young (the late Gus), Louis Galasso (Lenore) and Alan Galasso (Priscilla). Grandmother of 20. Marion Gabrielli (nee Mennella), 85, a resident of Bayville, died on June 28, 2003. She was former president of the West Suffolk Girl Scout Council and a teaching assistant to the students of the Locust Valley High School Individual Needs Program. She was predeceased by her husband John. Mother of Joan Tedesco (Bob) of Locust Valley and Linda Gabrielli of Georgia. Grandmother of Jennifer, Robert and Lauren Tedesco, Stephen, Nicole and Christopher Maillard. Sister of Joan Gerben and Vincent Mennella.

Pasquale F. "Pat" Meringolo, 75, a lifelong resident of Bayville, died on June 28, 2003. He was a retired principal at Schwarting School, Plainedge S.D. He was a life member of the Bayville Museum Board, Exempt and Benevolent member of Bayville Fire Co. #1, St. Gertrude's Holy Name Society, a lector and Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Locust Valley Christian Life Community.
