This simple e-mail told the story: "I believe that the photo depicts the front door of Sagamore Hill," wrote Regina Rettig." She is right! The photograph was taken by Robert Fitzpatrick, and while it was a really difficult picture to identify, with just the door in shadow, we thought it might spark someone's memory. The eagle door knocker is very distinctive, as is the size of the door.

Billy Minicozzi made a great guess. He suggested it was the door to the apartment house next to the deli across from town hall. Billy also wished everyone a good holiday weekend and wished for a warm summer.
