  • News: Berry Hill Field Renamed

    The Bayhawks team was busy playing their baseball game as elected officials and members of the late New York State Senator Ralph Marino's family met to dedicate the newly named park located on Berry Hill Road between Hill Drive and Park Avenue. They sat in the Town of Oyster Bay Showmobile in the newly paved parking lot, finished just in time to honor the late New York State Senator on the anniversary of his death. His funeral was conducted at St. Dominic R.C. Church a year ago. FULL STORY

  • News: Oyster Bay Fire Protection District News

    The Oyster Bay Fire companies, comprised of the Atlantic Steamer Fire Company #1, has had a very busy week. Thursday evening found both companies at the Support Our Troop rally in Roosevelt Park. Our medical teams were there to do a stand-by in case there was a need for medical services, and both companies brought other apparatus to show our solidarity and support for what our troops are doing overseas. Our Tower ladder and the Tower Ladder of the East Norwich Fire Department proudly raised the Stars and Stripes above the heads of the many supporters who braved the cool night air to gather together to pray for our soldiers.   • Sports: Tee-Time for Baymen Golf

    The Oyster Bay High School Golf team has begun swinging its way into the spring season. The weather thus far, however, has not looked very much like spring, resulting in the frequent cancellation and rescheduling of games throughout spring sports. The golf team, competing in Division C, is amongst those which have been hit hard. "Right now our schedule has been pretty destroyed because of the weather," says Senior Captain Mark Mitchell. "It's tough to make up matches because we have to reschedule with the private golf courses." FULL STORY
