Helen Scott, 81, of Bayville, died suddenly on March 26, 2003. Originally from Scotland, she was a 50-year resident of Bayville. Helen was an active volunteer at the Village Church, Friends of the Arts, Village Christmas Decorations of Bayville and many other community-related activities. She was predeceased by her husband Ted (Jan. 30, 2002). She is survived by her sister Peggy Martin in Glasgow, Scotland; son Nicholas Scott (Lila) of Canada; daughter Penny Nyburg (Lee) of LI; grandchildren, Laura, Doug, Emily and Ian; sister-in-law Mabel Scott; and extended family in Scotland. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews in Britain. Arrangements were made by the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment private.

Helen R. Cosgrove, 87, of Bayville, died on March 28, 2003. Wife of the late James. Mother of Noreen, John (Vicki), Mary Weber (Michael) and the late James and Carol Leone. Rose Morganthaler (Nichols), of Oyster Bay, died on March 28, 2003. She was a nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Jersey City for over 30 years where she graduated from the school of nursing. Wife of Henry. Mother of Joanne (Matt) Duda, Henry (Valerie) Nichols Jr., Robert (Gloria) Nichols and Frances Nichols (Dominic). Grandmother of Andrea and Matthew Duda and Daniel and Stephen Nichols. Sister of Antoinette, Frances, Stephanie, Anne and Theresa. Arrangements were made by the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Oyster Bay. Funeral Mass at St. Dominic's RC Chapel. Elaine M. Dusold, 63, of Bayville, died on March 30, 2003. Wife of Michael P. Mother of Michael (Nicole) and J.P. Grandmother of Michael, Bryce and Hunter. Sister of Michael Walsh (Rita).
