The Centro Cultural Hispano de Oyster Bay/East Norwich is holding their annual fund-raising dinner to benefit educational programs for their membership. The dinner will take place on Saturday, March 29 in the Social Room at St. Dominic R.C.C. on Anstice Street, at 7 p.m.

The donation for dinner is $15 for those 16 years and over.

The event is worthy of your consideration. It is always wonderful when people are working to help one another. It is even better when their commitment is to education.

The Centro Cultural Hispano is working on their Time Dollars program and Luz Torres, CCH spokesperson recently told us the program is coming along well. This sounds great.

Both programs will benefit the group and the general community as well. In America, education is power. The more you know, the more you can do. That is the power of freedom and the magnet that pulls people to come to the United States and join in our free democratic society.
