Should East Norwich Incorporate?
Questions about whether East Norwich should become an incorporated village have surfaced again. At the December meeting of the Village Officials Association, Bayville Mayor Victoria Siegel said in her term as president in 2003, she was going to work toward the incorporation of villages. Both she and Oyster Bay Cove Mayor Michael Peragine, the outgoing VOA president, said "East Norwich is interested in incorporation."

The members of Hood African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church honored their minister, Rev. Kenneth Nelson, for his dedication to Hood Church with a dinner on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Homestead restaurant in Oyster Bay.

Banner and Plaque Dedication
A replacement 1975 Football Championship banner will be dedicated on Jan. 17 in the St. Dominic's James E. Collins Sports Centre. The ceremony will take place during half time at the St. Dominic Boys Varsity Basketball Game against St. Anthony's. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.

Running Pays Off for Kids
Over 500 toys were donated by participants at the Greater Long Island Running Club's 2002 Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run and the club was pleased to once again turn them over to St. Mary's Children and Family Services, who distributed them to some very receptive children at the annual St. Mary's Holiday Party on Dec. 26.
