Help in Sight for LIRR Station Roof
It appears that the process of turning over the Oyster Bay Rail Road station building by the MTA, the parent organization of the LIRR, to the Town of Oyster Bay is delaying the needed repairs on its leaking roof. While the LIRR owns the building, it does not intend to do any further repairs on it. Still, there appears to be help in sight.
More Than Just Fun: Boys & Girls Golf Outing
Camille Mastellone, development director of the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay East Norwich is pleased with the results of their golf outing held at the Nassau Country Club on Oct. 7. "We're seeing a lot of the members' children coming out to play golf with them," said Ms. Mastellone. "It's very nice to see. Best of all, we picked up new friends for the Boys & Girls Club. Each year new people are brought to the outing by their friends. They see what we are doing and like what we are doing. The result is they come back the next year. It really lifts your spirits when you see that. It was a great financial and social success," she said.
