On Sept. 14 our fall intramural season started. The fields started filling at 9:30 and the action lasted until after 4 p.m. It was a fantastic fall day to start the season. Over 600 children from 4-year-olds getting their first taste of the game to high school girls and boys showing their advanced skills marched onto the fields. The children were joined by swarms of parents and fans that cheered them on. Many children from our intramural teams will be playing in the Columbus Day tournaments. This is a great opportunity for our teams to play in a competitive setting against teams from throughout Long Island. Interested coaches must inform our tournament coordinator via www.obensoccer.org. If your child is interested in trying out for a tournament team, ask your regular coach for tryout dates.

Our intramural games will be played on Sunday, Sept. 22, this weekend, due to the Soccer Homecoming being held at the Vernon School Athletic Fields this Saturday.
