IP's Evolutionary Not Revolutionary Plan
Hamlet residents are interested to hear what the Island Property plan actually is going to be. They got a little closer look at elements of the plan, on May 15, at a meeting of the Oyster Bay Civic Association (OBCA) but were told by Island Properties (IP) CEO Abraham Poznanski that their plan is still in the works. He said IP will be using the Town of Oyster Bay Hamlet Plan as a guide, which they took part in creating, and will soon present their own plan to the public. Mr. Poznanski said it will be evolutionary and not revolutionary.

OB Waterfront Gala Planned
Oyster Fest 2002, being co-chaired by James Cammarata and Judy Wasilchuk, is taking a new tack. They are adding a Waterfront Gala on the Friday night, Oct. 18 before the festival opens on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 19 and 20. The gala will be a fundraiser for the WaterFront Center and for the Rotarian's festival committee, which funnels the profits back into the community. The Friday night fun will be capped off with a fireworks show!

The club is excited to form two new Travel teams for next season -Under 10 Boys and Under 10 Girls teams will be fielded to compete within the Long Island Junior Soccer League.
