Once again, the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich will offer Sail Oyster Bay, a high quality, affordable sailing program to the youth of the community. Sail Oyster Bay will run in cooperation with the Oyster Bay Sailing School at the Waterfront Center. Registrants will participate in classes designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in sailing. There will be two sessions offered in this program: The preseason Sailing Program and the Summer Sailing Program.
The preseason sailing program is offered to members in grades 4-8 and runs from Wednesday, June 26 through Tuesday, July 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost of the program is $150; lunch is not provided. Please note: the Boys & Girls Club will not provide transportation for the the preseason Sailing Program. Registrants must be dropped off and picked up at the Oyster Bay Sailing School on West End Avenue.
The Summer Sailing Program is offered to members in grades 4-10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 9 through Aug. 15. Participants in grades 4-6 will sail from 9 a.m. to noon, and participants in grades 7-10 will sail from 1 to 4 p.m. Transportation is available for the Summer Sailing Program from the Boys & Girls Clubhouse to the Oyster Bay Sailing School. Registrants may be transported to and from the Oyster Bay Sailing School by way of the Boys & Girls Club van, or may be dropped off and picked up at Oyster Bay Sailing School on West End Avenue.
There will be no refunds for absences, changes, withdrawal or termination. In order to register for any club program or attend any club activity, participants must be Boys & Girls Club members to participate.
All interested in joining Sail Oyster Bay should pick up a registration packet at the Boys & Girls clubhouse at One Pine Hollow Road, Oyster Bay.
