John W. Halasz, 89, of Oyster Bay Cove, died on April 21, 2002. He was a honored teacher and fencing coach of Oyster Bay High School from 1963 to 1985. He was married for 66 years to his wife Mary. He was a member of American Legion Quentin Roosevelt Post #4, VFW Memorial Post #8033 and K of C Council #1206, Fourth Degree. Husband of Linda. Father of Anthony Jr. (Carol).
