Civic Asks End to OB Down Zoning
At the April meeting of the Oyster Bay Civic Association development in the hamlet was discussed. Besides Lizza's proposed S-2 Golden Age Housing development at the top of Underhill Place, and along Mill River Road, the group discussed two other cases of down zoning.

Oyster Bay Civic Association Discusses Developments in Town
Development plans for the hamlet of Oyster Bay were the major focus of discussion at the April 18 meeting of the Oyster Bay Civic Association. The discussion highlighted the need for the town board to complete the Hamlet Plan for the area. The discussion on a new down zoning request for property opposite the Roosevelt Elementary School, and the proposed S-2 senior housing development on the Lizza property on Mill River Road ended with the decision to ask the developers of the project, Mill Pond Overlook, to speak at an upcoming meeting.

St. Dominic's Honors Alumni Lost in WTC
The St. Dominic's Football Alumni is planning an event on Sunday May 26 to honor their members who died in the September 11 World Trade Center attack. The event will begin with a Memorial Mass held at noon at St. Dominic's Church. The honorees are Timothy Byrne, Thomas Mahon and William Minardi.

OBEN Soccer Club Kicks Off Their 2002 Spring Season
The OBEN spring soccer season is under way for our 11 travel teams. Since the fall season ended, most teams participated in indoor soccer leagues during the winter. Other teams competed in various indoor tournaments throughout Long Island. The following are our travel teams representing our town throughout Long Island and New York State:
