Dottie and her five brothers, including the late Isidore (Izzy), a Glen Covite and community icon, grew up in the Glen Cove "Landing." Dottie graduated from Glen Cove High School in 1930. On New Year's Eve, 1933, she married Benjamin (Ben) Raymon of Roslyn. They spent the first few years of married life in Glen Cove, where Ben owned a shoe store. During her years in Oyster Bay, Dottie was active in Girl Scouting, the Oyster Bay Mother's Club, the Hadassah, Women's ORT, the Babcock Doubleday Senior Center and the founding of the Oyster Bay Jewish Center. She also worked with Ben, who went back to C.W. Post and earned his college degree in the 1960s, during his many years of volunteer service to the C.W. Post College Development Office and president of Parents and Friends of C.W. Post. Following Ben's death in 1993, Dottie lived at Norwich Gate Apartments in East Norwich, and in 1999, returned to Glen Cove to live at the Mayfair Senior Residence.

Always devoted to her family, Dottie is survived by her daughter, Annette Smith of San Diego, CA; son, Jerry of Oyster Bay; brother Sidney Goldstein of Westminster, CA; five grandchildren, Margie Glickman Jones, Rainee Glickman Esquivel, Andy Glickman, Wendy Nocella and Lisa Raymon; and seven great-grandchildren, Meagan and Spencer Jones, Kyla Esquivel, Brad and Matthew Rooney and Ricky and Brittany Nocella on LI and in California.
