The Trinity College women's ice hockey team defeated NESCAC rival Amherst, 3-2, in overtime on Dec. 7, but lost, 6-0, against league foe Hamilton on Dec. 8 to close the fall semester.

Freshman forward Libby Jakes (Roseville, MN) netted the game-winning score in overtime to lift the Bantams against Amherst, receiving assists from classmates Victoria Fox of Locust Valley and Michelle O'Neil (Westwood, Mass.). Bantam freshman Kristy Hadeka (Castleton, VT) forced the extra frame with her game-tying goal in the third period and assisted sophomore forward Samantha Lee (Hartsdale, NY) on Trinity's first score. Bantam sophomore goalie Mimi MacKinnon of Glen Cove, the daughter of Peter MacKinnon, attorney for Muttontown and Cove Neck, made 29 saves in the victory and added 35 stops the next night against Hamilton.

Trinity, coached by Katie Busniuk, is currently in seventh place in the nine-team NESCAC with a 2-6 league record.
