MSA Looking for Volunteers
The Oyster Bay Main Street Association looked back at the past year, elected new officers and asked the community to volunteer to help them proceed. They have created four committees that will focus their energy at improving the downtown area of Oyster Bay.

Standing Up for Teddy
Mike Rich, as a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay, is interested in the revitalization of the hamlet. He attended the weekend of events when Dan Burden's Walkable Communities, Inc. was brought here by the Oyster Bay Main Street Association. At their Oct. 25 meeting he announced his interest in seeing a statue of Theodore Roosevelt placed at the entrance to Oyster Bay in the triangle area that today houses the Busy Bee.

Runners Invited for Rob's Run
Runners from Oyster Bay, Bayville, East Norwich, Mill Neck and other North Shore communities are invited to be a part of Rob's Run, the annual late fall 5 Kilometer cross country run, which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25 at Stillwell Woods Town Park in Syosset.

Jessica Baker Wins All-Around Gymnastics Title
Jessica Baker, a senior at St. Francis Prep, graduate of The Green Vale School and Brookville resident, placed first at the 32nd NSCHSGAA Individual Gymnastic Championships held on Nov. 4 at Holy Trinity High School. Baker and her team at St. Francis Prep faced four other Long Island teams: Holy Trinity and Kellenberg, Our Lady of Mercy and St. John the Baptist at the annual event.
